We make the enrollment process as simple as possible. Whether you’re paying privately or going through the ELC School Readiness program, we’ll walk you through every step.
We accept both private pay families and families enrolled through the ELC School Readiness subsidy program. Choose the path that fits your situation.
No income requirements, no waitlist — enroll directly with us and start as soon as a spot is available.
Income-eligible working families in Palm Beach County may qualify for subsidized childcare assistance.
No hidden fees. Meals are always included. Just quality care at a fair weekly rate.
Everything included in your weekly rate:
The Early Learning Coalition (ELC) of Palm Beach County administers the School Readiness program — a state-funded subsidy that helps working families with limited income pay for licensed childcare. If your family qualifies, ELC pays tuition directly to us and you pay only a small income-based copayment, or possibly nothing at all. Marlene Nelson Family Home Daycare is a contracted ELC provider.
To qualify, you generally need to:
You must be employed or enrolled in school/training for at least 20 hours per week.
You and your child must be Palm Beach County residents.
Household income must be at or below the ELC’s income eligibility thresholds.
Step-by-step process:
Go to familyservices.floridaearlylearning.com and create an account to start your application.
Upload all required documentation. See the checklist below for exactly what you need.
You may be placed on a waitlist. ELC emails you when funding is available — check your inbox regularly.
Once approved, call us at (561) 585-4817 to confirm we have an available spot for your child.
Sign the Payment Certificate through the Family Portal to activate your child’s enrollment with us.
ELC benefits must be renewed each year. ELC will notify you when it’s time to re-certify — don’t miss it.
