Licensed childcare provider, passionate educator, and the warm heart behind over 15 years of trusted family care in Boynton Beach, FL.
Marlene Nelson has spent over 15 years doing what she was born to do — loving and nurturing children. What started as a calling became a career, and what became a career became a community. Since opening Marlene Nelson Family Home Daycare in 2009, she has welcomed hundreds of children through her doors and watched them grow from tiny babies into confident, curious kids ready for kindergarten and beyond.
Marlene believes that the earliest years of a child’s life are the most important — and that every child deserves to spend those years feeling safe, seen, and loved. That belief is woven into everything she does, from the routines she keeps, to the meals she cooks, to the way she gets down on the floor and plays right alongside the kids.
“Every child who walks through my door becomes part of my family. I don’t just watch them — I invest in them, celebrate them, and help them become the best little person they can be.”
— Marlene Nelson, Licensed Family Home Daycare ProviderWith a maximum of just 6 children at a time, Marlene is able to give each child the individual attention they deserve. She knows their personalities, their quirks, their favorite songs, and their milestones. That’s not something you find at a large daycare center — it’s something that can only happen in a home.
Marlene doesn’t just meet the minimum requirements — she exceeds them. Your child’s safety and development are backed by real credentials and ongoing education.

Every decision Marlene makes — from her daily schedule to what she cooks for lunch — comes back to these four core values.
A safe environment isn’t a baseline — it’s a commitment. From locked cabinets to the fenced backyard, every detail is intentional.
No two children are the same. Marlene takes time to truly know each child — their needs, their pace, their personality — and meets them there.
Learning doesn’t happen sitting still. It happens through songs, blocks, stories, paint, and the magic of imaginative play every single day.
Marlene sees herself as an extension of your family. Open communication and trust between provider and parent makes everything better for the child.
Every day is thoughtfully structured but never rigid. Children thrive on routine, and Marlene has spent 15 years perfecting the balance between learning, play, rest, and nourishment.
